Episode 23 – Clean It Out!

IMG_9944There’s no great way to lead into this week’s topic, so I’ll just come right out with it: Colonics. Sara and I pretty much had a scrunchy yuck face the entire episode! lol

So what is colon therapy and why might one choose to have it done on purpose? A practitioner flushes out the colon by sending gallons of water into the body through a tube inserted into a person’s rectum. This procedure can cost about $80 to $100 per session. A colon therapy site states “Colon hydrotherapy is a completely natural treatment that is enjoyed by thousands of people every day, from celebrities and film stars to ordinary people of all ages, from all walks of life. It may seem a little strange at first, but the more you learn about the treatment and its many benefits, the more you’ll see that it is a very normal and natural way to take care of your health and wellbeing.”  Is that so… well what ARE the many benefits?

Poop_EmojiDid science back up the “many benefits” claims? Did Hether & Sara try it out? Tune in to this episode to get the dirty on all things colonics!
